Toyota/Mazda Joint Venture Mfg. Plant
Construction of a new vehicle assembly plant in Huntsville, AL was announced on January 10, 2018, as part of a joint venture between Toyota and Mazda. The new manufacturing facility represents a combined investment of $1.6 billion by the two companies. Once complete, in 2021, it will employ 4,000 production workers and have an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles.

Toyota Logistics Services, Inc. (TLS) responsible for finished vehicle logistics in North America. TLS Vehicle Processing Operations manages 13 vehicle delivery centers across the U.S. TLS Vehicle Transportation Operations manages transportation via rail, truck and vessel. There are 33 destination rail ramps, 165 rail routes and 8,416 truck routes. North American produced vehicles are exported from 14 different ports to over 45 countries around the world. Parts Supply Chain Operations (PSCO)
Toyota’s Parts Supply Chain Operations team manages the parts supply and distribution network that provides service parts and accessories to all U.S. Toyota and Lexus dealerships, as well as to Toyota North American distributors including Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. PSCO’s three facilities in California employ almost 800 residents, span over 1.6 million square feet and ship over $1.4 billion in parts and accessories annually. Our Los Angeles and San Francisco Parts Distribution Centers provide daily service to over 240 Toyota and Lexus dealers across California and the western U.S. Our North American Parts Center in Southern California ships goods to over 16 distribution centers across the U.S. and exports North American produced parts and accessories to customers in over 30 countries across Asia, Central and South America, Europe, Oceania, and the Middle East.
