Toyota Dealer Capital Program - (TDCP)
Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “TMS” recognizes that the capital necessary for a dealer investment is substantial and frequently beyond the resources available to otherwise highly qualified dealer applicants. To meet this need TMS formed the Toyota Dealer Investment Group (TDIG). TDIG supports Toyota/Scion and Lexus retail representation by providing capital and operational/management support to qualified minority, women and other operators through the Toyota Dealer Capital Program (TDCP) which is designed to foster sole ownership by the candidate(s). This multi-discipline approach helps to lay the foundation for diverse candidatesto become successful Toyota/Scion and Lexus dealers. We identify potential dealer candidates by partnering with organizations such as the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Toyota/Lexus Minority Dealer Association and Toyota’s Diversity Advisory Board who also provide direction for optimizing our resources to improve the program and focus on results. In addition, to better understand the perspectives of our minority-owned dealers, Toyota ensures that diversity representatives sit on both the Toyota and Lexus National Dealer Councils.
