Toyota has partnered with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for over six years to help preserve the Galapagos Islands. Toyota's work in the Galapagos is based on our internal Earth Charter, and our desire to preserve one of the most fragile and biodiverse places on the planet. To date, Toyota has invested over $1.75 million in the area through WWF and has accomplished a renovation of the fuel handling terminal, established a hybrid renewable energy system, an oil recycling program, an outreach campaign on renewable energy and a established a recycling education, outreach and program on the islands.
