NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY
For 11 years, Toyota has been the national sponsor of National Public Lands Day (NPLD), and has encouraged its associates to get involved. They have done so each year, volunteering with family and friends to help in their local parks, forests, rivers, beaches, and shorelines.
As the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve public lands, NPLD engages all ages and groups. In September 2009, 150,000 volunteers came out to 2,026 sites.
