BUCKLE UP FOR LIFE

In 2004, Toyota teamed up with experts at the world-renowned Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center to create a groundbreaking injury prevention initiative called “Buckle up for Life” or “Abrochate a la Vida.”

The program brings hospital safety curriculum to Hispanic and African American church congregations, and offers ways to integrate safety lessons for drivers and passengers of all ages into sermons and Sunday school classes.

It also provides free child car safety seats and car seat inspections. After participating in the Buckle Up for Life program in Greater Cincinnati, the number of Hispanic adults and children using seat belts and car seats more than doubled.
