Serving Our Communities

,,

Matching Our Purpose with Our Passion

Toyota's committed to helping our communities. We know the best way to do that is through a combination of hours volunteered, dollars donated, and knowledge shared.

,,

Team Member Engagement

We're about more than cars - we're a mobility company, creating better ways to move people, whether across town or across a room. We are working to connect people to educational opportunities and jobs, and improving access to critical goods and services.

,,

Toyota Mobility Foundation

Cities that have developed rapidly face a number of transportation challenges. The Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) is a great way for Toyota to use our technological and environmental expertise to help organizations address urban transportation challenges and expand personal mobility.

,,

Community Sustainability

By working collaboratively with nonprofits, we're helping to address basic needs like food insecurity, improving the environment, and assisting communities to prepare and recover from disasters.

,,

Team Member Engagement

We're passionate about team members giving back - Toyota matches team member donations made to eligible nonprofits and also gives grants to nonprofits based on the number of hours a team member volunteers

Sharing Know-how

We believe that when you do something well, that it should be shared for the benefit of society.

Our years of manufacturing experience have taught us that small improvements can make a big difference — and we've learned that this approach can help other organizations too. So, for more than 25 years, we have shared our know-how with other manufacturers, nonprofits and community organizations to help them find better ways of doing their day-to-day work. Sharing our ideas this way helps our partners stay competitive and preserve jobs or support more people in need — and that benefits us all.

Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders

Overview

Toyota works across the education continuum, helping to prepare, motivate and inspire youth for high- demand careers.

Through a comprehensive approach, including engaging our employees as mentors, working together with academia to develop curriculum to supporting teacher development, Toyota’s aim is to create pathways to opportunities while addressing critical needs in communities that impact learning.

Toyota USA Foundation

The Toyota USA Foundation is a $100 million charitable endowment started in 1987 that supports innovative programs for students and teachers in science, technology, engineering, and math programs during all phases of education - from preschool through post-secondary education.

By helping students discover their interest in these fields, we're paving the way for the next generation of innovators and problem solvers. We're excited to offer grants that create and strengthen pathways to high-demand, high-growth careers, with a strong focus on women and diverse communities.

Driving Possibilities

Driving Possibilities is about creating access to opportunities so everyone can take part in the future of work.

It is a long-term initiative of the Toyota USA Foundation, kicking off with a $110 million commitment focused on preparing youth for high-demand careers while working with communities to address the real barriers to success.

The rapid pace of innovation requires a collective effort to ensure that all children have equal access to opportunities, and a pathway to high-growth careers. Because we're all made stronger when everyone is ready and able to realize their dreams.

Driving Possibilities is dedicated to supporting innovative programming across the educational continuum - programs that support and elevate traditionally under-resourced and diverse communities near our operational communities in the U.S.

AMT FAME

Toyota is the Founding Partner of the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (program FAME). In 2019, FAME moved under the leadership of The Manufacturing Institute to gain the infrastructure and network needed to support and grow the program. Toyota still participates in FAME and uses the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program at eight manufacturing locations.

FAME provides a comprehensive, hands-on education that prepares individuals for a rewarding career in the industry. As part of The Manufacturing Institute, and through its coalition of employers who work collectively to support skills training programs, FAME is proactively developing a robust pipeline of qualified workers to close the skills gap.
