MPGe

Since RAV4 EV uses no gas, it gets a miles per gallon equivalent, or mpge, estimate. Think of this as being similar to mpg, but instead of representing miles per gallon of the vehicle’s fuel type, it represents the number of miles the vehicle can go using a quantity of fuel with the same energy content as a gallon of gasoline.

Range

RAV4 EV has an EPA-rated driving range of 103 miles ³—plenty of range for most daily commutes and the longest EPA-rated driving range of any non-luxury electric vehicle, just in case you decide to take the long way home.

Performance

RAV4 EV impresses not only with technology, but also performance. In Sport Mode, the powerful electric motor can get you from 0-60 in about seven seconds, ⁹ up to a maximum speed of 100 mph. Just because you’re efficient doesn’t mean you can’t produce excitement as well.

EV Technology

RAV4 EV’s advanced traction battery stores up to 41.8 kWh and gives you an EPA-rated 103 miles of range. ³ And with RAV4 EV’s quiet ride, impressive handling and 10 kW onboard charger that fully charges the battery in five to six hours, ¹⁷ you’ll be ready to go anywhere, anytime.

Charge Management

From your smartphone, ¹⁸ ¹⁹ you’ll be able to view your charge status and estimated driving range, view and set your charge schedule, and even initiate a charge if your RAV4 EV is plugged in.

Remote Climate

Using the Remote Climate App ²⁰ on your smartphone, ¹⁸ ¹⁹ you can turn the heating and air conditioning inside your vehicle on and off. You can even get a reading of the cabin temperature range to make sure it’s just right before you enter the vehicle.

Charging Station Map

With the Charging Station Map App, you can find nearby charging stations using your smartphone ¹⁸ ¹⁹ or vehicle’s multimedia system. With the ability to filter by Level 1 or Level 2 charging capabilities, view detailed information such as location hours, number of charges and phone number, the app makes it easy to find a charging station when you need one.

Vehicle Finder

Even a vehicle as unique as RAV4 EV can be hard to find after you’ve parked it. If you can’t remember where you parked, use the Vehicle Finder App ²¹ on your smartphone ¹⁸ ¹⁹ to view a map of your current location and the last known location of your vehicle, and navigate your way right to your RAV4 EV.

ECO Dashboard

Knowledge is power, especially in an all-electric vehicle like RAV4 EV. The ECO Dashboard App ²² allows you to check out your ECO Driving Score, compare your score with other RAV4 EV ECO Dashboard users, and earn ECO Challenge trophies. You can also share your scores with friends and family.

IntelliTouch™

The vehicle’s multimedia system and dual zone climate control system are operated by IntelliTouch™ capacitive controls. You can select a radio station or adjust the temperature with just a light tap of your finger.

Navigation With Entune^® & EV Apps

Stay entertained while exploring with standard Premium IntelliTouch™ Navigation ¹² with Entune^® ¹³ and EV Applications. ²³ The 8-in. high-resolution touch-screen has an integrated backup camera ¹⁵ display with AM/FM/MP3/WMA playback capability, a USB port ²⁴ and access to Entune^® Applications and data services.

SofTex^® Trim

Our available SofTex^® seat trim weighs about half as much as genuine leather. And the way it’s made generates around 85% fewer CO2 emissions and 99% fewer Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) than conventional synthetic leather.

Cargo Room

Progressive, yet practical. RAV4 EV won’t limit your lifestyle because it’s electric. You can still go to the hardware store, haul your gear and take your friends, and still be fully electric. Cargo volume with both rows of seats upright is 36.4 cubic feet. ¹⁶ Fold the second row, and volume increases to 73.0 cubic feet.

Zero Emissions

Since it uses zero gas, RAV4 EV is certified as a Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV). With no internal combustion engine of any kind, it doesn’t emit any tailpipe pollution.

LED Headlights

The LED (light-emitting diode) projector low-beam headlights and Daytime Running Lights (DRL) on RAV4 EV use a fraction of the energy of standard bulbs and last a lot longer. And when you’re on a steep grade, the manual leveling system lets you redirect the headlights so you can see exactly what’s ahead.

Aerodynamics

With a drag coefficient of just 0.30, RAV4 EV moves through the air with ease. That’s a large part of why it is so efficient, no matter where your adventure takes you.

Vehicle Proximity Notification System

RAV4 EV is virtually silent, which is why it comes equipped with a Vehicle Proximity Notification System (VPNS). The VPNS emits an undulating electrical whir at speeds up to 15 mph, so people can hear you coming.

Tire Pressure Monitor System

Proper tire pressure is not only important to overall vehicle handling, but to safety as well. RAV4 EV’s standard Tire Pressure Monitor System ³⁰ will illuminate an icon on the instrument panel if tire pressure gets critically low.

LATCH

To help keep children safe and secure, RAV4 EV has LATCH, which stands for “Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren.” With lower anchors on outboard rear seats and tether anchors on all second-row seats, LATCH allows you to mount a child seat quickly and easily.

Crumple Zones

RAV4 EV is built with crumple zones in the front that are designed to dissipate the force of an accident through a process called controlled deformation.

Maximum operation duration of this system is 15 minutes. System may not operate if the traction battery has less than 50% state of charge. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See your Owner's Manual for further information/warnings.
The Toyota Tire Pressure Monitor alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See your Owner's Manual for details.
