Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)

When Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) ⁷ detects a vehicle, it warns you with a flashing indicator light on the appropriate outside mirror. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) ⁸ works in much the same way. When you slowly back out of a driveway or parking spot, it provides audible and visual indicators to warn you of approaching vehicles.
