Download the Enrollment Checklist to make sure you have everything covered.
Your first step to becoming a T-TEN student is to understand your school's specific enrollment requirements and to locate your T-TEN coordinator. You can find both online at your school's Website. Before getting started, you need to contact your T-TEN coordinator to assist you with the enrollment and placement process. He or she will help you complete the following steps:

  • Filling out the school's application
  • Submitting your official high school transcript
  • Filling out a financial aid request form
  • Getting a class catalog to plan your schedule

At some schools you may need to:

  • Take an assessment test
  • Attend an orientation
  • Get approval from a school T-TEN coordinator

Your T-TEN coordinator will assist you with all of this.
All T-TEN students participate in an internship. Securing an internship is similar to finding a job. Your T-TEN instructor will guide you through the process. Each dealership has its own hiring procedures but most will require:

    • A resume outlining your work and educational background
    • A completed application
    • A copy of your driving record from your state's department of motor vehicles
Most dealerships also require applicants to pass a drug test.
