2023 Toyota Venza vs. Ford Edge

Comparison

The Toyota Venza and Ford Edge are excellent mid-sized SUVs with comfort and style. But the Toyota Venza is the clear winner, with a hybrid engine across all grades offering far superior fuel economy ratings while maintaining the go-anywhere handling of all-wheel drive. Add in this SUV’s standard comfort features, like a hands-free power liftgate, and the Toyota Venza proves tough to challenge.

The Toyota Venza is not a Lexus NX. Still, it could easily be mistaken as one, with its upscale design, sophisticated interiors, and a Star Gaze® electrochromic panoramic roof that’s a conversation starter of its own. One giveaway lies in its attractive MSRP, which is more accessible than its challenger in this comparison, the Ford Edge. The Toyota Venza offers impressive fuel economy ratings, handling, and a slew of comfort options, carving a definite space for itself in Toyota’s SUV lineup.

The Ford Edge comes with a design reminiscent of the EcoSport, Ford’s smallest SUV. Packing plenty of power, cabin space, and cargo space, the Ford Edge is no slouch in the mid-size crossover SUV segment. A beastly twin-turbo engine in the top of the line ST trim makes it potent on the road, but the ST trim comes with a $47,980 price tag. The top-trim Toyota Venza Limited offers ample power, practicality and a luxe experience for an MSRP of $42,765.
