Introduction to Destination Search

Destination Search lets you search addresses and more than 20 million points of interest. Then you can easily navigate to a desired address or business (with a paired and Internet-connected phone).

Phone must be paired and connected to use Internet services. If it is not, please go to Pair a Phone and find out how to connect to Internet services. You must have an active Entune® App Suite account. To register for Entune® App Suite, please visit myentune.com. You can also register directly from the Entune® app.

Search for Point of Interest at Current Location

  1. Press APPS on the faceplate
  2. Touch Dest. Search
  3. Touch Enter Search Word
  4. Enter a word or words you would like to do a POI search for (e.g., “coffee”)
  5. Touch OK
  6. Screen will display results. Select desired destination from Destination Search results list.
  7. If you would like to call the location, touch green phone icon
    • Touch End Call or press phone hang-up button on steering wheel to cancel the call
  8. If you would like to go to the location, touch Start to begin route calculation
  9. You will be presented with up to three (3) route options (Fast, Short or Ecological). Select your desired route option to start guidance.

Search by Category at Current Location

  1. Press APPS on the faceplate
  2. Touch Dest. Search
  3. Touch one of the categories shown (e.g., Restaurants, Gas Stations)
  4. Screen will display results. Select desired destination from Destination Search results list.
  5. If you would like to call the location, touch green phone icon
    • Touch End Call or press phone hang-up button on steering wheel to cancel or end the call
  6. If you would like to go to the location, touch Start to begin route calculation
  7. You will be presented with up to three (3) route options (Fast, Short or Ecological). Select your desired route option to start guidance.

Search for Address at Current Location

  1. Press APPS on the faceplate
  2. Touch Dest. Search
  3. Touch Enter Search Word
  4. Enter the full address (building number, street name, city, and state)
  5. Touch OK
  6. Screen will display results. Select desired destination from Destination Search results list.
  7. If you would like to go to the location, touch Start to begin route calculation
  8. You will be presented with up to three (3) route options (Fast, Short or Ecological). Select your desired route option to start guidance.

Create a Station by Song (Custom Station)

  5. Enter desired song by touch keyboard and touch OK

  7. From search results list, touch desired artist to create a station
  8. Station can be accessed later via Recent Stations from Options menu

Create a Favorites Station

  • When listening to any station, touch heart and + icon to select station as a favorite

Play a Favorites Station

  1. Press APPS on the faceplate
  2. Touch iHeartRadio
  3. Touch Options
  4. Touch Favorites
  5. Touch desired station

Personalize a Custom Station

  1. When a custom station is playing, touch the thumbs-up icon to “like” the track; iHeartRadio will play more tracks with similar qualities
  2. When a custom station is playing, touch the thumbs-down icon to “dislike” the track; iHeartRadio will skip that track and avoid tracks with similar qualities

Pause and Skip a Song

  1. When a custom station is playing, touch the || button to pause the song; touch the > button to resume playing the song
  2. When a custom station is playing, touch the >> button to skip a song (iHeartRadio allows six (6) skips per hour per station)


About MovieTickets.com

Phone must be paired and connected to Internet services. If it is not, please go to Pair a Phone to find out how to connect to Internet services. You must have a valid MovieTickets.com account in order to purchase movie tickets using MovieTickets.com in Entune® App Suite.

Search for Movies

Note: "Press" refers to a physical button on your phone or the multimedia system faceplate. "Touch" refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  2. Touch > to scroll to next page to find MovieTickets.com icon
  3. Touch Movies with MovieTickets.com icon
  4. You can see a list of Movies or Theaters near your current location. Touch Theaters at the top of the screen to find a theater near you.
  5. Touch desired theater
  6. A list of movies for that theater will appear
  7. Use up/down arrows to scroll through the list
  8. Touch desired movie
  9. The selected movie's showtimes will appear. Touch Details if you would like to call or go to this theater.
  10. Touch Calculate to go to theater
  11. You will be presented with up to three (3) routes (Fast, Short or Ecological) to start guidance


Do all Entune audio systems come with the Entune App Suite?

No. Entune® App Suite is only available on Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and Entune® App Suite and Entune Premium JBL® Audio with Navigation and Entune® App Suite.

Do I need to register for Entune to use it?

Only vehicles with Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and Entune® App Suite and Entune Premium JBL® Audio with Navigation and Entune® App Suite require you to register, as they contain Entune® App Suite, which requires registration. Search for “Entune” in your respective app store (Apple® or Android) to download the Entune® App Suite app. With the Entune® App Suite app, you can register and link your third-party apps (iHeartRadio, Movietickets.com and Slacker Radio), all via your mobile handset.

Can I register for Entune® App Suite through my smartphone?

Yes. Please download the Entune® App Suite app from your respective app store and register via the app.

Do I need a special Toyota application downloaded to my phone to use Entune® App Suite?

Yes. There is a Toyota Entune® App Suite mobile application in the Apple® App StoreSM; or Google Play (Android) App Store. Once you have registered for Entune® App Suite, pair your phone with the vehicle via Bluetooth® and launch the app.

What kind of apps are in Entune® App Suite?

Entune® App Suite features a total of five apps. They are Destination Search, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, Slacker Radio and, for Entune® App Suite on select 2014 and later model year vehicles, Yelp®. In addition, HD Radio Predictive Traffic and Weather with advanced Doppler, stocks, sports and fuel guide data services is included on select vehicles.

Which apps are included with Entune® App Suite?

The third-party apps supported through Toyota Entune® App Suite include:

  • Destination Search — Search and explore places to go and exciting things to do. Find and go to points of interest, addresses, restaurants, shopping, entertainment venues and more.
  • iHeartRadio — Listen to more than 1500 live radio stations from across the country and create personalized custom stations.
  • MovieTickets.com — A personal box office on your dashboard. Find movies, see showtimes and purchase tickets right from your vehicle.
  • Yelp® — Looking for a local place to eat, shop, drink, relax or play? Read reviews from locals who know best and get directions sent directly to your navigation system. *On select 2014 and later models.
  • Slacker Radio — Slacker is handcrafted radio from passionate music experts. Discover the perfect music for any moment, with hundreds of stations and recommendations that adapt to you.

Can I add other apps to Entune® App Suite?

No. The ability to add applications to Entune® App Suite is not possible. We are continuously listening to customers' feedback and comments and analyzing which apps are valuable to customers that might be included in future Entune® App Suite updates.

Which wireless technology is used with Toyota Entune® App Suite?

Bluetooth® wireless technology is used to connect your smartphone with Entune® App Suite.

Does Entune® App Suite use my phone's data plan for operation?

Yes. Entune® App Suite relies on your compatible mobile phone's data plan; thus, carrier charges will apply. Each application within Entune® App Suite will have different data usage depending on how often you engage each application. Daily use of iHeartRadio or Slacker Radio uses larger amounts of data and may have an impact on your cellular data plan. We recommend you understand your phone carrier's data plan so there are no surprises. Many provide a data calculator on their website, or you can contact them directly.

What is Entune?

Entune encompasses the complete audio display stack of your vehicle—including Bluetooth®, voice recognition, USB port(s), auxiliary port(s) and your display screen. On select models equipped with premium audio head units, you have access to navigation and a rich set of apps and data services, now referred to as the Entune® App Suite.

Can I get the Entune® App Suite system on another manufacturer's vehicle?

No. The Toyota Entune® App Suite system is a proprietary in-vehicle multimedia system solely owned by Toyota.

Will Entune® App Suite be available in the aftermarket to retrofit older vehicles?

Not at this time.
