bZ4X will be the first Toyota vehicle to utilize the all-new e-TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. Made specifically for Toyota electric vehicles, this structure allows for more space that you can feel in the cabin and provides a solid foundation for outstanding driving performance, ride comfort and stability for the road ahead.

And with the push of a button, X-MODE maximizes bZ4X’s AWD potential. By adjusting drive force, braking and throttle input, you’ll enjoy its impressive performance in tougher conditions.
Powerful Electric Motor
bZ4X takes advantage of an electric powertrain by delivering almost instantaneous torque to a drive that comes naturally. Front-wheel-drive models use one electric motor to produce 201 hp with 196 lb.-ft. of max torque, while all-wheel-drive models harness two electric motors to deliver 214 hp with 248 lb.-ft. of max torque to both axles combined.
Battery Performance
With an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 252 miles for front-wheel-drive models and up to 228 miles for all-wheel-drive models, you can enjoy the fun of electric driving with the confidence of knowing that it’s a Toyota.
Regenerative Braking With Boost Mode
The unique driving experience of bZ4X comes from the way it harnesses and delivers electric power. By optimizing the force used on the acceleration pedal, you can easily tap into bZ4X’s power. When you’re not on the accelerator, regenerative braking will recapture lost energy while coasting and help slow you down.

Smooth lines and an athletic SUV stance give bZ4X a look that’s unmistakable. With a long wheelbase, the wheels have been sent further into the corners to emphasize its confidence on any road. Charge smarter. Take advantage of available off-peak electricity rates when charging your bZ4X. Through its touchscreen display or the Toyota app on your compatible smartphone, you can create a schedule for what time to start and stop charging while plugged in. And when you need to charge right away, just hit the “Charge Now” button to begin charging immediately.
Home Charger and Installation
Make it easier to go electric with a quicker Level 2 charger that can be installed at home for added convenience. And by using resources such as ChargePoint® and Qmerit, you’ll be able to find a home charger and licensed electrician to get you set up.

Clean Assist
Reducing your carbon footprint has never been easier. Toyota’s complimentary Clean Assist program allows eligible owners to offset vehicle charging with 100% renewable energy. Through the Toyota app, the program can keep track of the amount of electricity used during charging. Then Toyota will generate or buy an equivalent amount of Renewable Energy Certificates to match the amount of energy used, to ensure that charging for your bZ4X is matched with zero-carbon electricity.

Pre-Collision System With Pedestrian Detection
Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) is designed to help detect a vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist or motorcyclist and provide an audio/visual forward-collision warning under certain circumstances. If you don’t react, the system is designed to provide automatic emergency braking.
Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Intended for highway use, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is an adaptive cruise control system that is designed to be set at speeds above 20 mph, and uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to help maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.
Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist
When white/yellow lane markings or certain road-edge boundary lines are detected at speeds above 30 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual lane departure warning if an inadvertent lane departure is detected. If the driver does not take corrective action, the system is also designed to provide gentle corrective steering for lane-keeping assistance.
Lane Tracing Assist
When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are detected, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane. While LTA is activated, the Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) is designed to monitor the driver's inputs, such as steering operation. If the EDSS determines the driver is not attentive and the driver does not respond to prompts to resume control of the vehicle, it can bring the vehicle to a stop under certain conditions.
Road Sign Assist
Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs, yield signs, and certain warning signs, and display an icon of the sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).
Automatic High Beams
Automatic High Beams (AHB) are designed to help you see more clearly at night at speeds above 21 mph. The AHB system is designed to detect the headlights of oncoming vehicles and taillights of preceding vehicles, then automatically toggle between high and low beams accordingly.

Blind Spot Monitor With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Safe Exit Assist
Standard Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Safe Exit Assist is designed to help look out for you. The Blind Spot Monitor warns you when a vehicle in the next lane enters bZ4X’s blind spot on either side of the vehicle. Safe Exit Assist uses BSM sensors to detect approaching vehicles from the rear. If the system determines that there may be a collision with a door opening, an audible alert sounds, and a visual alert appears on the outside mirrors. And when you’re in reverse, the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps detect vehicles approaching from either side, warning you with side mirror indicators and a warning tone.
Panoramic View Monitor
bZ4X’s available Panoramic View Monitor helps you check your surroundings for hazards. It uses four cameras, one on each side of the vehicle, to display a bird’s-eye view on the touchscreen display. When you’re parked and using the Moving View setting, bZ4X creates an animated virtual view from above to give you a bigger picture of what’s around.

Every new bZ4X comes with ToyotaCare, a maintenance plan that covers normal factory scheduled service for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, and 24-hour Roadside Assistance for 3 years, unlimited mileage.
Hands-Free Power Liftgate
Powered to help you out. With the push of a button, the available hands-free power rear liftgate can open and close automatically. When your hands are full, bZ4X senses your Smart Key and opens automatically when you wave your foot under the center of the rear bumper.
Front and Rear Parking Assist With Automatic Braking
Available Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking (PA w/AB) audibly and visually warns you when it detects stationary objects or vehicles approaching from the rear. If the system determines there may be contact with a detected obstacle or vehicle, it will reduce engine power and/or apply the brakes.
